Just a matter of time :)

We had our last home study interview this Tuesday and made our 3rd agency payment, thanks to all of you who supported our yard sale.   The interview went very well.  What a wonderful feeling to have accomplished a milestone in this journey.  Our home study itself still has to be actually written by our social worker and submitted to us for proofing, but our part is O-V-E-R.  Now, on to filling out the 16 page form to send to immigration with our completed home study, and another $975.  This form requests permission to bring an internationally adopted child into the US.  The form doesn't really look that difficult.  I guess after taking on the home study, it pales in comparison!

I was really hoping for an update while we were at the agency office on Tuesday.  I was hoping we would have information on our little boy saying that something had been done.  But, our social worker said she hadnt heard anything but would check and let me know later.  She emailed me while we were still on our way home and said she found out that our LOI had been submitted!  Another small step in securing our little boy to come home to us!  Now we just wait for China to accept our letter of intent to adopt and give us a preliminary approval.  When we receive that, we will officially be able to introduce you to...

Fisher Wanninger

 

We havent decided for sure on the middle name yet, and Fisher might actually be his middle name, but we want to call him "Fisher".  Cutter came up with the name.  For those of you that know Cutter, this should come as no surprise LOL.  But the beauty of it is that our prayer is that he will become a "fisher of men".  We pray that he will grow up to one day proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to many, maybe even to someone from his birth country.  We serve an awesome God and He has a plan and a purpose for Fisher!  It's just a matter of time before we can share his sweet face with all of you.  So keep us in your prayers!
